FRRTBG Group Ride 4/6/2019

JoLynn and I rode from the storage unit over to the start point of the ride at El Pomar Youth Sports Park, it's 3.5 miles and we have to ride in the emergency lane of a 4 lane highway to get to Las Vegas St. and pick up the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail. Larry from the group showed up and took off for the Sacred Grounds Café heading up to the North Cheyenne Canyon area via the "dirt" part of the Pikes Peak Greenway to the Tejon St. Bike Lane, which flows into the Cheyenne Blvd. Bike Lane. It was partly cloudy/sunny 60F so the temps changed with the thickness of the cloud cover but it never rained on us! :) At the Café we had lunch and then headed back, had a flat, caused by a bad seam in a tube so we stopped at "Bicycle Experience" on Tejon St. so I could get a spare tube! Larry headed north and we headed back to the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail heading south and back to our storage area in Security! 20.15 miles RT. with some good climbs heading up towards the North Cheyenne Canyon entrance! Good food, Good RIDE, GREAT DAY! :)
