We volunteered to be Ride Leaders for our group, Front Range Recumbent Trike/Bike Group on a very awesome, sunny, 70 F with very light breeze Mothers Day! We started out of our storage area in northern Security and headed to our start point at America The Beautiful Park in down town Colorado Springs, CO. We didn't have anyone else show up so we headed out of the park to pick up the Midland Trail heading west towards Manitou Springs Swimming Pool/Park. The tandem is slow but it's really great to be able to hold a conversation without having to YELL at each other! :) Just a great day to RIDE so we also had lunch at the Subways just outside the park. Round Trip: 30.15 miles for the day, sweet! 6.4 avg. speed/17.7 max speed, 788 ft. of elevation.
